Integrations
Connect your account to the external systems your organization offers and use them in chat.
On this page
AITEZA can use tools of external systems through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), for example to look something up in another business application. On the Integrations page in the Personal section of Settings, you connect your account to the integrations your organization offers.
How Integrations Work
- Organization admins approve MCP servers for the organization (see Organization Integrations).
- You connect to the approved servers that need your own sign-in or key. This happens on this page.
- In the chat, you choose per message which integrations AITEZA may use (see Using Integrations in Chat).
AITEZA uses an integration only when it is switched on for the message.
The Integrations Page
The page lists the servers your organization has made available to you: those approved for the whole organization and those approved for one of your groups. Each row shows the server’s icon, name and status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Available to everyone | The server needs no connection of your own. You can switch it on in the chat right away. |
| Connected | You are connected. |
| Expired, please reconnect | The connection no longer works. Select Reconnect. |
| Not connected | You have not connected yet. Select Connect. |
If your organization has not approved any server yet, the page shows “No integrations yet”.
Connecting
How you connect depends on how the server signs you in. The organization admins set this for each server.
Personal sign-in: Connect opens the sign-in or consent page of the service. Sign in with your account there and confirm. AITEZA then returns to the Integrations page and shows “name connected”.
Personal key: Connect opens the dialog Connect name.
Connect with a personal key
- 1
Create an API key or a personal access token in the service.
- 2
In AITEZA, select Connect next to the server.
- 3
Enter the key in the field Key or access token and confirm.
AITEZA checks the key with the service and stores it encrypted. If the service does not accept it, the dialog shows “The service rejected the key.” Check the key and its permissions in the service and try again.
Expired Connections
A connection expires when the service no longer accepts your key or sign-in, for example because the token was revoked or has run out. It also expires when an admin changes the sign-in settings of the server. The status then shows Expired, please reconnect. Select Reconnect and sign in again or enter a new key.
Disconnecting
Disconnect removes your connection after a confirmation. AITEZA can then no longer use this integration for you until you connect again.
Good to Know
- Integrations work only with models that support agent mode. With other models, the plug icon in the chat is disabled.
- Relay guests never use integrations.
- Each tool call of an integration appears in the message’s execution steps, labeled “Server name: tool title”.
- AITEZA treats the results of integrations as untrusted external content. Tools that change or delete data are used only when you explicitly ask for it.
Using Integrations in Chat
Integrations let AITEZA use tools of external systems through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your organization admins decide which integrations are offered, and you connect to them in Settings > Integrations.
Switch on an integration
- 1
Click the plug icon next to the + button in the chat input area.
- 2
Tick the integrations AITEZA should use. The list shows your connected integrations, each with the icon of its service.
- 3
Send your message.
- The ticked integrations are used for the next message. While integrations are selected, the plug icon is coloured; its tooltip shows how many, for example “Integrations (2)”.
- Switch on only what you need: every integration adds its tools to the model’s context.
- A new chat starts with no integration switched on. An existing chat restores the selection of its last message.
- Manage integrations at the bottom of the list opens Settings > Integrations. If you have not connected any integration yet, the list says “You have not connected an integration yet.”
- Integrations show the icon of their service in the chat, in Settings > Integrations and in the admin list: a built-in icon for well-known services such as Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, Slack, GitHub, Linear, Notion or Atlassian, otherwise the website’s favicon, otherwise a plug symbol.
- If a selected integration is not connected or cannot be reached, AITEZA says so in its answer and points you to Settings > Integrations.
- Integrations work only with models that support agent mode. With other models, the plug icon is disabled and shows “The selected model cannot use integrations.”
- Before an integration changes data (for example creates a ticket or uploads a file), AITEZA asks in the reply: “Server wants to run “action”. Allow?”. Details shows what would be sent. Choose Cancel, Allow or Always allow; Always allow lets every action of this integration run without asking again in this chat. Actions that only read data run without asking. Without an answer within 4 minutes, the action is not carried out.
- Each tool call of an integration appears in the message’s execution steps, labeled “Server name: tool title”.
